Wonders shall never end.....Liverpool fan tries to hijack car with toy gun

An attempt to hijack a vehicle with a toy gun has landed two youngsters in police net. The RRS confirmed the development in a statement.

A police statement confirming this was shared via the state command's Twitter handle on Monday, May 21, 2018.

"These two knuckleheads were caught by the Police this morning around Ketu bus stop trying to hijack a vehicle from the driver with a toy gun," a statement reads.

This may seem like an obvious warning sign. No one likes to be called names, even when it’s innocent teasing by friends. The increased awareness of bullying behavior has brought this warning sign more attention. The old rhyme “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me” certainly isn’t true. Names, particularly if they are hurled at you by someone who claims to love you, can be terribly painful. If people you don’t really care about call you names, it may not be as upsetting. If that person is your boyfriend or girlfriend it becomes a whole different story. As in the first warning sign calling names is about control and humiliation.

We all have dealt with nicknames and insults, even among our friends. You might be a nerd, a jock, a popular and be proud about it. Having others call you names might roll right off you. You need to be able to tell the difference between a silly nickname and an abusive one. Any time your partner chooses to insult you, your appearance, your intelligence, your choices or opinions it’s emotional abuse. Yes, your partner can have his/her own opinions, but when they question your ideas to the point of insult or humiliation, it becomes emotional abuse.

A Python was found by a man named Johnbull Cleopas, on his site in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. He found the dead snake trapped in his fence. Apparently it swallowed a big animal and while trying to slither away, got caught up in a fence, struggled a lot and eventually died on the spot. It was slit open and later burnt by the owner of the site. See More photos........

Niger Delta Avengers blow up NNPC gas pipeline in Nsit-Ibom, Akwa Ibom state

In a new statement released by Niger Delta Avengers spokesperson, Brig.Gen Mudoch Agbinio, the militant group claim to blown up another pipeline, this time in Akwa Ibom state.

The statement reads, "11:30pm on Sunday, the NDA blow up Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) gas pipeline at Nsit-Ibom L.G.A, Akwa Ibom state. NNPC should check their pipeline if its system Anomaly."

Dubai Mansions: Buratai Abided By Constitutional Provisions – Civil Society

The coalition for civil society groups, COCSG, has called for caution in the condemnation of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai over his alleged ownership of $1.5 million worth of mansion in Dubai, saying the facts of the matter suggest he duly declared the building as required by law.

At a press conference in Abuja at the weekend, COCSG’s president, Comrade Bassey Etuk, called on President Muhammadu Buhari to continue the fight against corruption despite obvious distractions as it is clear that opportunities would continually be exploited to drag the anti-corruption programme of this administration into the mud.

Francis Taiwo, a clergyman who chained his nine-year-old son for several weeks, has disclosed that he took the action because he believed his son was possessed with a ‘stealing spirit’ known in Yoruba language as ‘emi ole.’

Mr Taiwo, pastor of the Key of Joy Celestial Church, who has been on the run since law enforcement officers rescued his son, Korede, from the church premises where he was chained for weeks, was arrested yesterday.

Narrating his case to the police, Korede’s father said, “I chained my son because I felt he is possessed and I’m not comfortable with his stealing habit,” a police source who witnessed the interrogation quoted the suspect as saying.

The 40-year-old suspect, who hails from Benin Republic, said he was born in Ota Town of Ogun State and that he rose to be a pastor in the Celestial Church and was ordained in 2012.

He also told officials that he married Korede’s mother who bore four children for him before their divorce in 2007 and that the victim’s mother, Marine Taiwo, was from Delta State and Korede’s siblings were not living with him.

The church has already distanced itself from the controversial pastor.

“All we can say is that the man is not a registered or recognised pastor in the CCC,” a church official from the Lagos headquarters told journalists on Saturday.

FG Loses $39,370 To Payment Reversals In South Africa

Nigeria’s Consul-General in South Africa, Amb. Uche Ajulu-Okeke, said on Sunday that the Federal Government lost $39,370 (about N10.9 million) to visa and passport fees at processing centres in that country.

Okeke told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Johannesburg, South Africa, that the Online Integrated Solutions (OIS), a firm that processes passport and visa on behalf of the Nigeria Immigration Service abroad, reported the loss to the Consulate.

Dana Air slashes ticket fare on Owerri-Lagos route

To attract patronage, Dana Air has commenced daily flights from Lagos to Owerri at low fare of N12,600 for a one-way ticket.The airline currently operates daily flights to Abuja, Lagos, Abuja,Port Harcourt and Uyo and is set to extend its operations to other cities in Nigeria as part of its strategic route expansion plans.

As the war against insurgency in the northeast continues, two Soldiers lost their loves, as seven others got injured on Tuesday evening, in the course of repelling a Boko Haram terrorist attack on their military camp in northern Borno state.

A statement confirming the attack issued by the spokesman of the Army Col. Sani Usman in the early hours of Wednesday said, the two soldiers were killed last night due to poor visibility, when troops of 119 Task Force Battalion stationed in Kangarwa in Kukawa Local government in northern Borno State were repelling an attack by Boko Haram terrorists that extended into the night.

Three demonstrators were killed in northern Mali on Tuesday, 12th July, 2016 a medical source said, in a protest centred on a contentious peace accord that Mali has been struggling to enact.

Demonstrators said security forces opened fire when hundreds of young people set off on a banned march in the city of Gao.

A hospital source told AFP by phone that “the latest toll is three dead”, with 31 injured.

The government said three had been killed and others injured both on the protesters’ side and among the security forces.

An angry Dencia first fired off at LisaRaye on social media for saying her products could cause cancer and then later sent her lawyers to write to LisaRaye threatening to sue her if she doesn't retract her statement and apologize. LisaRaye McCoy's lawyers also replied by firing back at Dencia's lawyers in January.

However, the Cameroonian singer and entrepreneur took to her IG page today to reveal that LisaRaye is requesting for a peaceful resolution. Dencia on the other hand is not interested and is still insisting that they go in court.

A 70-year year old farmer was on Tuesday, June 28 beheaded by a mentally deranged man at Akpafu-Menpease in the Hohoe municipality of the Volta region, Ghana.
The suspect identified as Emmanuel Kadidze, 56, was said to have murdered Samuel Okiti in the early hours of Tuesday, while he was on his way to the farm.
Kadidze, who is said to be mentally unstable was seen roaming the community with the head of the victim, which drew attention.

Chelsea Handler: I had two abortions at 16

Los Angeles, Chelsea Handler had two abortions at the age of 16.

The 41-year-old chat show host opened up about having two pregnancies terminated within the same year and says she initially wanted to keep the first baby, but her parents could see it would be "ridiculous" so they sent her to Planned Parenthood to get an abortion.

In an emotional essay for Playboy Magazine's Freedom issue, she wrote: "Getting an abortion wasn't the first idea that popped into my unripened brain. I was going through a very bad stage in my life.

Pittsburgh, Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller pleaded guilty Monday to bankruptcy fraud and failing to report thousands of dollars in Australian currency she brought into the country.

Miller pleaded guilty to one count of concealing bankruptcy assets and one count of structuring international monetary transactions.

She was charged last fall with illegally trying to hide $775 000 worth of income from the Lifetime network reality show and spinoff projects during her Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
